These paintings have been an exploration into the application of coloured glazes to canvas. The perception of colour is somewhat different when comparing a flat colour to a semi-transparent colour(s) when using glazes. A glazed surface will allow light to enter the surface before being reflected whereas a flat colour will simply reflect the light.
